How does tuition work?

All individual lessons at Stages cost $30 per half hour and $60 per hour. These lessons can be purchased individually or as part of a package of lessons all billed at the same rate. Lessons can be scheduled online, by calling 443-353-5300, or in person at our facility. Lessons purchased a la carte or in our lesson packages are subject to availability at the time of purchase.

We also offer enrollment in recurring billing for monthly lessons at Stages. Recurring billing means you provide us with your credit card and we automatically charge your card on the first of every month. To encourage students to use this payment method we offer monthly tuition at a rate of $118 for weekly 30-minute lessons and $236 for weekly 60-minute lessons. The monthly fee for recurring customers does not change even if there are 5 lessons taken in one month. Setting up re-occuring monthly payments is also the only way reserve your time slot each week until you decide to stop taking lessons. We require a two week notice of any cancelation of monthly lessons, after the two weeks, any remaining lesson balance on the account will be refunded.

How do I book a lesson?

It’s easy! First, make sure you’re a MyStages member. Click the Education tab and choose your instrument to see all of the available teachers. You can book a teacher right away by clicking “Book this Teacher Now”, or click “More Information” to learn about your teacher. Once you’ve selected a teacher and confirmed your student information, pick a lesson length and time that works for you. Click “next” to few your lesson detail summary. To secure your lesson time, click “confirm and pay” to be taken to a secure payment processor. After you have submitted your information, your lesson is booked!

How do I book a lesson for my child?

Follow the steps mentioned above, selecting “My Child” as the student. All parents are able to monitor and manage their child’s MyStages profile, so you will always be in the loop.

How do I book a lesson for my friend?

Follow the steps mentioned above, selecting "My Friend” as the student. Enter your friend’s information, select the length and number of lessons, and then you’ll be prompted to confirm and pay. Your friend will be able to schedule their lessons, and will no doubt be thankful for the rockin’ gift!

What is Stages' Holiday Policy?

Stages Music Arts is closed on the following holidays:

  • Black Friday
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas
  • New Year’s Eve
  • New Year’s Day

Should your weekly recurring lesson fall on one of these days, you will be able to reschedule at your convenience. The monthly cost will not change, but you will see an unscheduled lesson on your dashboard and have an opportunity to choose a day and time that works best for you. 

What is MyStages?

My Stages is a powerful tool to assist with your experience at Stages. Each student has their own personal section of the website that displays important information including: All lessons scheduled, lessons bought but not booked, past lessons and their associated videos or files, events, courses, lectures and more. Students have the ability to schedule, re-schedule, or cancel lessons, contact their instructor, connect with other Stages students to form bands, rent various room and instruments, watch and share every one of their lesson or performance videos.

How do I become a MyStages member?

Simply click “MyStages” and choose create an account. Then follow the steps to create your account.

What should I do if I’m unable to come to my lesson?

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. We understand that illnesses and emergencies happen, so the best thing to do is reschedule your lesson.

How do I reschedule a lesson?

Login to MyStages and click “Reschedule Lesson.” You’ll be able to reschedule one lesson, or pick a new time for all of your future lessons.

What is your withdrawal policy?

Studenst enrolled in monthly re-occuring lessons need to give at least two weeks notice before their last lesson. After the two week period any remaining lessons on the account will be refunded.

How do I contact my teacher?

Login to MyStages and click “Contact Teacher” to send a message. You can also add notes to your lesson by clicking “Lesson Notes.”

How do I book a recording studio or performance space?

Email rentals@stagesmusicarts.com or call us at 443-353-5300 to reserve the recording studios, the recital hall, or outdoor stage.

How can I meet other musicians through Stages?

Go to your MyStages dashboard and click “Connect with MyStages” on the right side. From here, you’ll be able to search for musicians to find old and new friends, even connect with musicians who like to play the same music.

What do I need to bring to my lesson?

Every student should bring their instrument as well as any material that they wish to play. We recommend that you bring a pencil, sheet music, and a notebook to your lessons. You may also bring a bottle of water, but no other food or drink is permitted in the lesson rooms. If any of these items present a problem please contact us to make other arrangements.

What event production services do you offer?

Stages Productions offers production services for events from 10 people to 5,000 people. Stages productions can provide a 24' x 30' portable stage, 3 way professional sound systems, professional concert lighting rigs, Wedding and event lighting, Backline rentals, speaker tower rental, Haze and smoke effects, and more.
