At Stages, our mission is to provide students with the area’s premiere music education experience. All students enrolled in weekly recurring lessons are considered part of our membership style program: The Stages Academy. Included with your monthly tuition, Academy members have access to all that Stages Music Arts has to offer.
We’ve developed a structured 8-level curriculum for guitar, bass, drums, voice, piano, electronic music production, and mini music makers specifically designed to add efficiency and continuity to lessons. Curated by a team of in-house instructors, our curriculum provides all of our instructors with the guidance and tools to ensure consistency of approach, with the freedom to teach concepts in their own unique ways. This individualized approach allows your child to advance in a manner that best suits their learning style.
Our curriculum tracks a student’s progress through measurable goals while providing a wealth of resources and information. Students progress at their own pace and complete projects teaching them how to utilize music technology and recording equipment available to them in all of our lesson rooms.
Upon registration, students receive a notebook outlining all 8-levels of the curriculum, practice logs, and progress reports. These notebooks serve to open communication between instructors, students and parents, and ensure timely progress. This feedback helps students understand their musical strengths and weaknesses as well as assist in tracking their progress throughout their journey.

Included in our monthly tuition, Stages Academy students are eligible to participate in three annual recitals (fall, spring, and summer). Recitals are performed in front of a live audience of friends and family in our Performance Hall, an exquisite 60-seat concert hall with superior acoustics. Recitals are the perfect opportunity to showcase that new piece they’ve been working on!
Stages Academy students have the opportunity to perform in bimonthly indoor Jam Nights or outdoor Open Mics. Geared towards small group performances and solo artists, these showcases are the perfect opportunity to make new friends, play with a band and perform on stage. These events will be hosted by our instructors and feature our student all-star band, All-Access as the house band.
Jam Nights and Open Mics are open to the public for a nominal cover charge but attendance and participation is free to Academy students and their families. Advanced registration is strongly encouraged.
Beginning this fall, we’re offering a series of one-hour instrument specific group lessons taught by our instructors. These “workshops” are a perfect opportunity to learn from new teachers, make new friends, get some extra practice time, and even try new instruments.
These group lessons are open to the public for a fee. However, Academy students may participate in as many workshops as they’d like to attend at no additional cost. Students are encouraged to try new instruments and techniques in an effort to elevate their musicianship. These lessons will give guitarists the opportunity to take a voice lesson, singers a chance to work on their rhythm, or guitarists a chance to learn some piano! Advanced registration is strongly encouraged.
“Crash Courses” are 60-90 minute seminars during which industry professionals will share their knowledge and passion for music and the music industry. Hosted in our Performance Hall, topics include concepts such as music theory, songwriting, recording, music business, and more.
Stages Academy students may attend as many seminars as they like completely free! Advanced registration is strongly encouraged.
Stages Music Arts has begun attracting internationally renowned artists to perform at one of our three performance locations. So far, we’ve hosted the legendary bluegrass mandolinist Sam Bush, acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Keller Williams, and jazz fusion legends Mike Stern, Oz Noy, Dennis Chambers, and Jimmy Haslip.
In addition to a full schedule of concerts for 2022, we’re leveraging our connections to host monthly Masterclasses featuring world class performers and educators.
Stages Academy students and their families will be eligible to receive a special discount on all concerts and masterclasses just by being a member of the Stages Academy!
Academy students receive a 10%-15% discount on their weekly recurring lessons when compared to our “Floating” lesson rate. In addition, Academy students receive a similar discount on in-house audio and video recording sessions overseen by our on-staff studio engineers and videographers utilizing Stages world class studios.
