Academy Benefits

Proprietary Curriculum

We’ve developed a structured 8-level curriculum for guitar, bass, drums, voice, piano, electronic music production, and mini music makers specifically designed to add efficiency and continuity to lessons. Curated by a team of in-house instructors, our curriculum provides all of our instructors with the guidance and tools to ensure consistency of approach, with the freedom to teach concepts in their own unique ways. This individualized approach allows your child to advance in a manner that best suits their learning style.

Our curriculum tracks a student’s progress through measurable goals while providing a wealth of resources and information. Students progress at their own pace and complete projects teaching them how to utilize music technology and recording equipment available to them in all of our lesson rooms.

Upon registration, students receive a notebook outlining all 8-levels of the curriculum, practice logs, and progress reports. These notebooks serve to open communication between instructors, students and parents, and ensure timely progress. This feedback helps students understand their musical strengths and weaknesses as well as assist in tracking their progress throughout their journey.

Recitals

Stages Academy students are eligible to participate in two annual recitals (Fall & Spring). Performed in front of a live audience of friends and family in our exquisite Performance Hall, recitals are the perfect opportunity for students to showcase their hard work and gain valuable performance experience. Read our blog about the many benefits of participating in recitals.

Jam Nights and Open Mics

Stages Academy students have the opportunity to perform in bi-monthly Jam Nights or outdoor Open Mics. Geared towards solo artists and small group performances, these showcases are the perfect opportunity to jam with others, perform on stage, gain confidence & make new friends. Advanced registration is required.

Value-Added Workshops

Each month, we offer a rotating schedule of workshops that give students an opportunity to learn from different teachers, study special topics (songwriting, music business, music theory, etc.), make great friends, get extra practice time, try new instruments and more!

Academy students may participate in as many workshops as they’d like at no additional cost – up to a $200 added value. Advanced registration is required.
