Summer Programs at Stages Music Arts

Pop Star Mini Camp:

Tuesday, June 19th–Thursday, June 21st

Pop into Stages for three days of music, friends, and fun! This mini-camp is perfect for young up-and-coming pop stars, who’ll get to:

  • Be the star of their own pop song cover!

  • Learn the basic form of a pop song  

  • Play fun games teaching music fundamentals

  • And more!

They’ll wrap-up with a live performance of their pop song covers and receive a digital download recording of their song. Have you always wanted to be a pop star? This is your chance to rock the mic at Stages Music Arts! Register here.

Writing & Recording Workshop:

Monday, June 25th–Friday, June 29th

Join Program Director Charles Simon for a week in the Studio B playing and recording original music! No writing experience is necessary, as the students will learn techniques and exercises to come up with songs on the fly.

Musical Theatre Intensive: 

Monday, July 16th–Friday, July 20th

Never been in a musical? No problem! Learn how to ace your audition and receive feedback from musical theatre experts.

Join Program Director Ashley Higgonbotham for a fun-filled week of singing & acting workshops and performance masterclasses. Students will learn some of Broadway's biggest hits and make new theatre friends!

At the end of the week, students will take the stage and perform for family and friends in the Julian Sinclair Smith Performance Theatre. Click here to register. Open to performers ages 10–18.

Summer Rawk Camp:

Monday, August 13th–Friday, August 17th

Join a band for a week and perfom live onstage! Working with Program Director Charles Simon students will rawk out with other musicans, develop instrumental technique, and learn music theory.

At the end of the week, the bands will put on a LIVE rawk concert for family and friends onstage at the Hot August Music Festival. Click here to rawk this summer! Open to instrumentalists and singers of all levels and ages 12–18.
