Stages instructor and famed mandolin player Ryan Rogers of The Dirty Grass Players will explain the mandolin’s role in a bluegrass band and share how to approach learning the melody and chords during a jam. He’ll focus on closed position chop chords to easily transpose songs into different keys!

This workshop is accessible to beginners, but some mandolin experience is preferred and students will need to bring their own instrument.
