Students will gain a love for piano by applying basic concepts to play their favorite songs! Our enthusiastic instructors keep it fun as they help students gain confidence, develop a solid foundation and become versatile keyboard and piano players.

Intermediate and Advanced Lessons

As students advance in their skills, instructors take them more in-depth with technique, theory and improvisation, and introduce more complex compositions to their repertoires. Piano students enjoy a variety of opportunities to showcase their skills at recitals and band performances.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do students need to have prior piano or keyboard knowledge?

No prior knowledge is necessary! While some experience with piano or keyboard may give students a head start, our instructors are ready and able to start students from scratch and teach them all the basic knowledge they need to get started.

What is the best age to start playing piano or keyboard?

Any age is a great age to start learning an instrument! Studies have shown that learning an instrument can increase children’s academic performance and critical thinking. And you’re never too old to start – learning an instrument is a great way to keep the brain sharp. For students as young as age 4, we offer Mini Music Makers, one-on-one lessons in which students get to have fun experimenting with drums, piano, ukulele and voice while learning about basic music concepts.

Do I need to own a piano or keyboard, or can Stages provide one?

Lesson rooms are outfitted with keyboards for students, but it is highly recommended students have their own keyboard or piano at home in order to practice what they learn each week.
