Voice Lessons

In-Person and Virtual Lessons Available!

Voice Lessons

Our first-class voice instructors teach students how to harness the instrument we are all born with – the voice! From finding the right vocal register to learning how to properly breathe while singing, our voice students gain confidence as they refine their ability.

Beginner Lessons

Students as young as age 7 can start formal vocal lessons, and begin learning about timbre, vocal registers, rhythm, breath and posture, and how to create their own vocal melodies.

Intermediate and Advanced Lessons

Singers looking to take their skills to the next level will learn about hitting high notes and belting and learn more advanced techniques to control and fully harness the power of their voice. Our voice students also have options to showcase their talent and range, performing at recitals or singing in a band as part of our Performance Program.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do students need to have prior vocal experience?

No prior knowledge is necessary! While some experience with singing may give students a head start, our instructors are ready and able to start students from scratch and teach them all the basic knowledge they need to get started singing.

What is the best age to start singing?

Any age is a great age to start learning how to sing, but we recommend formal lessons for students age 7 and older. Studies have shown that taking music lessons can increase children’s academic performance and critical thinking. And you’re never too old to start – learning how to sing is a great way to keep the brain sharp. For students as young as age 4, we offer Mini Music Makers, one-on-one lessons in which students get to have fun experimenting with drums, piano, ukulele and voice while learning about basic music concepts.
