At Stages Music Arts, we pride ourselves on nurturing talent, building confidence, and providing the skills young artists need to thrive—on stage and beyond. We’re thrilled to celebrate a major milestone for several of our dedicated students: their acceptance into some of the region’s – and even the nation’s – best schools for the arts.
Earning a spot in these highly competitive programs is no small feat. These schools are known for their rigorous audition processes, with hundreds of talented students vying for just a handful of openings. Admission committees look not only for technical skill but also for musicality, artistry, and the potential to contribute to their elite ensembles and programs.

I wanted to attend for the creative environment and to improve my craft. I am thrilled to have been chosen and very happy the hard work and effort I put into my audition paid off. It feels so rewarding to be recognized in this way. It really felt great to have the support of my Stages instructor, encouraging me, checking in and helping me prepare.
For months, our students dedicated themselves to this challenge—preparing audition pieces, refining their technique, practicing and working through nerves. These young artists demonstrated not only their creative ability but also discipline, resilience, and passion, all qualities that will serve them well as they step into the next chapter of their artistic journeys.
We are incredibly proud that Stages Music Arts played a part in preparing them for this achievement. Our instructors, all professional musicians and experienced educators, guided these students every step of the way no matter their area of focus —helping them select repertoire, master audition strategies, and most importantly, build the confidence to walk into their auditions ready to do their best.
For many years, since I started pursuing music I have thought about going to high school for music. I began to speculate if maybe music could become something I do on a daily basis. As I began looking up music high schools, I was immediately drawn to Baltimore School for the Arts. The school has amazing academic classes, which has always been important to me, however their music program is also off the charts. I believe that I will learn so much at BSA and it will allow me to achieve my goals in music and I hope to be surrounded by like minded musicians who share the same love for music and similar goals as I do, just as I feel that I am at Stages Music Arts.
Watching our students grow from curious beginners to accomplished musicians and artists ready to compete at this level is the reason we do what we do. Their success is a reflection of countless hours of hard work, the support of their families, and the unique community of encouragement and excellence we’ve built here.
We know these young artists have bright futures ahead, and we can’t wait to see the incredible things they accomplish next. Congratulations to each and every student who auditioned—whether accepted or not, your bravery and dedication inspire us all. And to those who received that coveted acceptance letter: we’re so proud of you. Keep reaching for the stars—you’re just getting started.
